I spend most of my time in Python, building web applications with Django and Flask, and wiring them up to the outside world through APIs. I like the layer where one system ends and another begins; that's usually where the real engineering happens.

Clear contracts, predictable errors, and code that's still readable six months later. When I'm not building features, I'm usually the one untangling why two services won't agree on a timestamp format.
